Research Question:
Will there be an increase in visual motor integration, quality of handwriting, and fewer behaviors associated with sensory problems after 8 weeks of Therapeutic Listening?
Participants:
11 children ages 6-10, all will have SI dysfunction and visual motor delay
Design:
- Pre-test/post-test design with two initial baseline measures. Subjects act as own controls.
- 4 weeks of SI, then 8 weeks of Therapeutic Listening
- OTs scoring assessments will be blind
Instruments:
- Sensory Profile
- Developmental test of Visual and Motor Integration (VMI)
- Draw-a-person (DAP)
- ETCH (handwriting assessment)
Preliminary Results:
