Advanced Therapeutic Listening
Upon completion, participant will be able to:
Understand the relationship between listening and sensory integration, and understand how the auditory system can influence attention, communication, behavior and learning.
Distinguish between the different sound tools available, and learn how different types of music and electronic alterations can impact listening and sensory integration.
Use clinical reasoning and course-provided resources to identify individuals with sensory processing and listening difficulties who may respond well to different sound-based interventions.
Integrate a variety of sound tools with postural, respiratory, and sensory strategies when developing or modifying programs to meet individual client needs.
Incorporate the advanced sound tools covered in this course, including Fine Tuning, Gearshifters, and Spatial Enhancement, when developing or modifying programs.
